ECAC East/NESCAC NEW ENGLAND MEN’S HOCKEY ALL-STARS ANNOUNCED

The New England hockey Writers Association (NEHWA) announced its ECAC East/NESCAC New England All-Star team today. Colby, which won the NESCAC regular season title, boasted four players on the squad, including Coach of the Year Jim Torterella. ECAC East Champion Norwich saw two players on the team, including two-time ECAC East/NESCAC Player of the Year, Rick Cleaver. N.E.C. placed three players on the All-Star team, while Middlebury, Bowdoin and UMass Boston were also represented.
The New England Hockey Writers banquet is college hockey’s social event of the year. It will be held Wednesday, April 16 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Prince Restaurant on Route 1 in Saugus, Mass. Reservations must be made by April 14 with Northeastern Athletic Ticket Manager John Gruppo at 617-373-7409.
